The Deanne Gebell Gitner '66 and Family Annual Prize for Teaching Assistants is named for Deanne Gebell Gitner, a 1966 graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences and a dedicated Cornell volunteer.
This prize recognizes and celebrates teaching assistants who carry Deanne's legacy forward by demonstrating "their devotion to undergraduate teaching — including classroom presence, course preparation and administration, student counseling, and, where applicable, development of new courses and new methods of student instruction".
