Medieval Studies Spring 2025 Roundtable

The Roundtable, organized by the Medieval Studies Graduate Association (MSGA), is a place for graduate students to workshop their projects and a community space where everyone's voice and presence are valued whether or not they have expertise on the topic being presented. It is both a space for graduate students to receive feedback on their works in progress and an opportunity for faculty and graduate students to learn more about the wide range of specialties represented in the medievalist community at Cornell.

The Roundtable will be in-person this semester at Olin Library 703 from 5–6:30 on the following Thursdays:

  • February 6 - Ryanne Berry's mock conference talk, "Hadewijch's Radical Hope: The Apocalypse Then and Now"

  • March 6 - Kate Bajorek, "Consuming Identities: Gender and Diet across the Medieval Life Course"

  • April 10 - Cagney Kelshaw, "Dweorgas and Dvergir: Disease, Disorder and Deviance in Medieval English and Norse Literature."

  • May 1 - Chiara Visentin, "The Translatio of Biblical Lessons Amid Educational and Political Change: Two Twelfth-Century Anglo-Norman Examples."

Any papers will be distributed via email about a week in advance.

Contact Marijke Perry (mnp29) if you have any questions.
