Spring 2026 Medieval Studies Graduate Student Roundtable

The Roundtable, organized by the Medieval Studies Graduate Association (MSGA), is a place for graduate students to workshop their projects and a community space where everyone's voice and presence are valued whether or not they have expertise on the topic being presented. It is both a space for graduate students to receive feedback on their works in progress and an opportunity for faculty and graduate students to learn more about the wide range of specialties represented in the medievalist community at Cornell.

The Roundtable will meet this semester in Olin Library 703 from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm on the following Mondays:

February 9: Willow Groundwater-Schuldt, "Preface" from her dissertation, "Nôt: Epic Form and Tragic Content in Early German(ic) Literature"

March 2: Kate Bajorek, “Personhood in Pieces: The Challenge of Fragmentary Bodies”

March 16: Hunter Phillips, “Tending to Bodies: Environmental Cultivation and Personal Care in the Alfredian Corpus"

April 13: Jordan Chauncy, “Who Bears the Ginne: Possible Bodies in Floris and Blancheflour"

April 27: Ryan Randle, “Materializing Nakedness & Simulating Miraculous Skin in the Chester Adam and Eve”

Any papers will be distributed via email about a week in advance.

Contact Cagney Kelshaw (cnk36) if you have any questions.
