Overview
Rowan Killina is a first year studying medieval ecologies, natural history texts, and premodern encyclopedic tradition. Coming from an enmeshed background in Classics, Literatures in English, and Biology/Entomology, her research interests dwell on the slippage that occurs across borders between animal, plant, and stone in premodern natural history literature, particularly mollusks and marine invertebrates. When she's not reading about the Wilds, she's wandering through them to find snails, wood lice, and mosses, sketch her own field journals, and find inspiration for new ways to create and tangle fiber arts.
