Medieval Studies Brown Bag Lunch Series, Fall 2019

The Medieval Studies Brown Bag Lunch Series resumes in Fall 2019, with three Cornell medievalists giving free lunchtime presentations on current issues and/or works in progress. All Brown Bag Lunch talks will take place in Goldwin Smith Hall, room 350, from noon to 1 p.m., and are free to the public. 

Thursday, October 17: Erik Born (German Studies) : Medieval Studies, Public Humanities, and the Vita Activa: An Open Discussion of Medievalism: A Manifesto by Richard Utz

Thursday, November 7: Ben Anderson (History of Art): The Acropolis at Sardis

Thursday, December 5: Simone Pinet (Romance Studies): The price of metaphor (some Iberian cases)
